If you take Ibuprofen frequently over long periods of time, take it with 75-150mg Ranitidine (generic acid reducer) aka Zantac, to avoid stomach burns. A couple of years ago, I had nasty stomach/esophagus damage from Ibuprofen, as did a friend of mine who was actually hospitalized. Now I can only take it alongside 150mg Ranitidine. Works very very well.

Although, I's sure that 81mg of aspirin prescribed by your doctor is fine!

I had/have chronic back pain that no chiropractor or therapist has ever been able to solve. Before I found my inversion machine to stretch my low back, the ONLY thing that releived the tension was 1 or 2 Ibuprofen (200-400mg) once or twice a day, every day or two, over a period of several months.
My friend is a stunt man and is always in pain, and he took Advil often enough to land him in the hospital with a bleeding stomach. He had no idea until the hostpital told him it was the Advil.

If you MUST take it often, I think it is pretty safe if you take it with 150mg ranitidine(acid reducer), which is a cheap OTC remedy in the antacid section of any pharmacy. Since I started combining these two, I get no heartburn type pain like I did before. My sister has prescription NSAIDS and she was also prescribed 150mg Ranitidine to take with each dose.

Ibuprofen reduces your stomach's ability to defend itself against its own acids, so the acid reducer at 150mg gives you a huge safety buffer. Be safe bros! I know how much people LOVE their Ibuprofen :)

Any oral steroid does this to me. Zantac and tums are my best buddy when I take C-17s.
