Treadmill 5 min warm up
Pull up and holds we're done between all sets.
Squats 3x15@135
Snatch to overhead squat down 4 times with 135. Extremely hard , kept it to doubles. My form is not great so I was trying to figure out the best hand/bar/feet placement. Discovered a weak core so this will be a focus.
Standing overhead DB raises 3x10 with 40's
106 kg at the gym
Tried running on the treadmill but the f ucking thing keeps shutting off mid run. Didn't even get to 10 min today . Switched to the stepper the. Over to pull ups , muscle ups (cheats ) dead lifts 40 total at 135lbs. Pull downs and dips.
Weight 229.6.
All last week my weight was bouncing between 230-235. Just been running and shovelling snow every day :)
Run 15 min
Pull ups 3 different hand placements 3x10
Over head squats 3x5@135
Deads 3x40@135
Planks
Ab rolling
Skipping
Weight 228
3x40.....lungs would be on fiiiiiiiire
Yeah they were. Endurance is getting better but still shitty.
Took yesterday off, ran for 30 mins followed by stretches.
Weight 228.7
Did you have to work at your flexibility to manage an overhead squat?I can't do them.
More my core than flexibility. First time trying a few weeks ago I could only do 1 at a time this time i managed to get upto 5.
Today I did a P90X core disc.
Been lost with weights so i'm doing the 531 in hopes to get my head back in the game.
Diet and Cardio have been good - weight is around 225-227. Not looking to drop much more maybe 10 lbs.
Playing ball this year so 4 games a week is good cardio also as long as I don't drink to much beer :)
Yeah beer season is approaching.Have you tried those little Molson .6 or whatever they are?Easier on the gut.
no i haven't but i do stick to light beer :)
start smokin pot instead!!
Do that too. Actually i just got a prescription for it and I buy from the Vancouver dispensary ! Sweet when Canada post delivers the goods. Lots of edibles too!
Did three days of the531 in a row. Played ball tweaked my elbow, hip and hammy, but nothing to serious a cookie can't take care of. :) Today was a good day off with lots of stretching.

I started the GCC last week. Now I get to carry a stepper with me every where I go. Last week I hit 112,027 steps or 44.55 miles. It's a neat thing to actually measure how much a person walks. My highest was 24,000 - 18 holes and 2 ball games helped that :) Lowest has been just over 6,000.
weight 223.8
Spartan training. Jogging / walking twice this week 3km to start. Race is 12km plus stations. Weight training is only 2-3 times a week. more high volume and body exercises ( pull ups, push ups, etc...)
hey bro...good to see you still at it
Might slow down but never stop :) Running hills , steps and lots of body work outs this week.
THought i would update this.
BW is around 215 and slowly dropping - feels much better than 240 :)
I'm still training for OCR and looking to do 3 or more this year. I've managed to get my 5km time to around 30 min, looking to get that down to 20 min. So far this month i have ran almost 54 km.
Even with all the cardio i'm doing my strength is still good , not that i need to but I can still bench over 300 and squat over 400. Of course I'm not as strong as i was when i was power lifting but i dont need to be.
My weight training is done twice a week and broken into upper and lower ( based around bench and squat ) lots of push-ups, pull ups, burpees, KB swings, walking lunges, roll outs and whatever else i feel will help in over all strength.
Cardio is done at least 4x a week and is usually running but i do mix it up with the bike and hills ( or incline set max on the tread ).
the main goal is lung endurance and that has come a long way in a year, but still needs to get better. I guess elite guys can run a mile in under 5min , im not there yet but i can do a km in under 5 min, lol.
My diet is fat based with carbs coming only from berries and veggies.
what you up to Talo? anyone use these logs anymore??
what you up to Talo? anyone use these logs anymore??
Hey Tex , funny you bring this up as I was just thinking about starting a log again. Try to keep some motivation going. Haven't been doing much of a program just doing what needs to be done and nothing heavy anymore . Basics still ( squat , dead and bench ) trying a few new things like overhead squats but they make me feel like a little kid. 75lbs for 10 was all I got with Rhodes haha. It would be nice to get back on track and keep a log.
how about you ?
