But it keeps my life interesting., so what the heck.

When I first picked up weights it was to get big to impress people. I guess that is still within me because I always looked like shit my whole life but I like lifting because it's challenging. I like dieting because it takes discipline and with that discipline it becomes a challenge and therefore fun to me. I like learning about the science and nutrition behind diets and foods.

The vain side of me wants to look better than anyone I personally know. To **** as much pussy as I can that I would never be able to get if I were to drink beer and eat wings every night.

I want to make myself a different person through all this. To sledgehammer some confidence in myself, discipline myself, self achieve something.

I don't have desires to compete but if I ever do bodybuilding would be the sport since it's one where if you lose you can't blame it on someone else. If you come in off condition it's your own fault. I hate seeing a baseball game and the pitcher having the game of his life only to end up losing because he threw too many and the bullpen lost it for him. That's just a ripoff.

So that's what I'm about.

I'm 5'11, 216lbs

I figured if I layed out what I wanted to accomplish in a 7 year plan I would keep myself on track. So far in it's 3 or 4 day infancy it has been working well. Bad habits being broken, new habits being formed.

I probably should mention I've been lifting half assed for 6 months. I give it my all when I go but I'm not consistant, which is my biggest problem overall. My diet is always good though. I gave up drinking all the time to doing it occasionaly, but then that's not as fun so I just cut it out altogether.

I'll post some pictures when I get my body into a good enough state to where I feel I won't get the shit flamed out of me.

Welcome sir. Your a very motivated individual and who cares about the reason. The fact is your set on doing it and your confident you can self achieve something. You will find a lot of us have the exact same drive to achieve a freaky phsyique.

I've joined other message boards before and mostly I just do shits and giggles on them. With my new life focus I'm all business. I realize that if I want to get to where I want to be I have to look at my life from a different perspective. My old perspective wasn't working well enough. I know that by eliminating the negative elements of my life and potential hazards to my training that I can accomplish my dream sooner than expected. It's a 7 year plan that can hopefully be achieved in 3 or 4. It all depends on how much effort I put into it.

I like you're thinking it will take time, focus and commitment. Good luck. Marino

I'm hoping to put on 5lbs of muscle for my first 3 years, then 10+ hopefully for the next few after that when I'm getting some "help".

So far it seems pretty good here. The other boards I've been too are full of juiced up assholes (and shit, i'm pro-steroid) but they think they are mightier than god because they pin. Or else it's just a bunch of kids who just flame each other.

I'm still hesitant to post my picture. I fear the flames....

Hey we all start somewhere. Don't worry about posting pics, no flames happen here.

Welcome to CBB :)

I posted some in a different thread and I didn't get flamed. When I make some better progress I'll make a thread in the photo gallery. My brother took a good one of me tonight doing a most muscular.
