Hey,

I'm just about to start my first cycle of injectable Test - Prop. I've heard some really good things about it; I've heard some pretty bad things about it - injection pains, low grade fever. In anycase it is the compound that I have selected and have, already, in my posesssion so I'm going to do it, for good or bad. I just need a little help with planning somethings out: diet, duration, how to keep the gains after it's over. I am looking to put on/ keep a little bit of size ( say around the 205 - 210 mark) but mainly I would like to firm up and get more cut. Any suggestions would help.

Here are some stats: 6 feet tall,
195lbs
10 percent body fat

Cycle: 1cc Test-Prop EOD (500 mg a week)
20 mg of Anavar ED
10 mg of Aromasin (just to be safe)
5mg Proscar EOD

PCT: Clomid, HCG, and Nolvadex

This is the diet plan I have worked out currently, it needs to be re-worked for this cycle.

8:00AM - Protein Shake = 30 grams protein
2 eggs = 16 grams protein
1 cup Lean oat cereal = 6 grams protein/ 40 gram carb

Total = 52 gram protein/ 40 gram carb

10AM - 2/3 cup almonds = 22 grams protein
1 Large apple = Not actually sure what the nutrition facts are for this.
Total = 22 grams protein

12PM - Chicken, Turkey = 42 Grams of Protein
2/3 Cup Brown Rice = 4 Gram Protein/ 45 gram Carb
2 Large Carrots/ Green Peas/ Snap Peas/ Grilled Veggies

Total = 46 Grams Protein/ 45 Gram Carb

3PM - ( This part needs fixing)
Energy Bar - 16 gram Protein/ 33 gram carb
2 Slices whole grain bread - 50 Gram Protein

Total = 16 gram Protein/ 83 gram carb

5PM - ONE AND A HALF HOUR WORKOUT

7PM - Steak, Chicken, or Turkey - 42 gram protein
Corn on the cob - 3 gram protein/ 18 gram carb
Or half cup of Brown Rice - 2 gram protein/ 22 gram carb
Salad with Veggies

Total = 45 gram Protein/ 18 - 22 gram carb

9PM - Night time shake 40 grams protein.

DAY TOTAL = 231 Grams Protein/ 185 Grams Carb

Also, any additional info that can be extended on Test - Prob, be it experience, suggestions, concerns, or other, please let me know. I need to know as much about this as possible, thanks for your help.

HCG is not for PCT ..use it during your cycle.

You need more food....alot more food.

energy bars?
apples?
CORN ???

you need to double your protein intake

HCG is to be used at the end of your cycle just before PCT....... And "eat more food" doesn't help me in any way, shape or form. Thanks anyways

HCG is to be used during your cycle up until PCT begins.

the boss has a better diet plan, but you need to find whats right for you. You will not grow without an excess of calories, mainly in carbs and protein.
Too much though = excess fat. Play with the numbers.

As far as the drug is concerned, you are taking testosterone. 500mg/week is good for 1st cycle.

The anavar will likely not be noticed so I wouldnt even bother.

The HCG is like you said, to be used at end of cycle, or can also be used during cycle for preventative maintenance.

OR can be used as PCT http://www.canadabodybuilding.com/forums/showpost.php?p=258474&postcount=8

Right on. Alright, so I was always told that your body is only able to synthesize about 50 grams of protein in a sitting - this may be a dumb question - does Test help with the up take and synthesization of extra protein?

The 50g of protein that can only be digested in one sitting is complete BS in my expierence. I started taking in 80g in a sitting instead and noticed a lot more gains. Olympia competitor kai greene used to eat 150g of pro per sitting so i dont believe in that assumption. Also in a sports nutrition class i asked a question about it to the prof and he sed it was dependant on many factors and not 50g per sitting.

Effect of testosterone on muscle mass and muscle protein synthesis
R. C. Griggs, W. Kingston, R. F. Jozefowicz, B. E. Herr, G. Forbes and D. Halliday
Department of Neurology, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, New York 14642.

We have studied the effect of a pharmacological dose of testosterone enanthate (3 mg.kg-1.wk-1 for 12 wk) on muscle mass and total-body potassium and on whole-body and muscle protein synthesis in normal male subjects. Muscle mass estimated by creatinine excretion increased in all nine subjects (20% mean increase, P less than 0.02); total body potassium mass estimated by 40K counting increased in all subjects (12% mean increase, P less than 0.0001). In four subjects, a primed continuous infusion protocol with L-[1-13C]leucine was used to determine whole-body leucine flux and oxidation. Whole-body protein synthesis was estimated from nonoxidative flux. Muscle protein synthesis rate was determined by measuring [13C]leucine incorporation into muscle samples obtained by needle biopsy. Testosterone increased muscle protein synthesis in all subjects (27% mean increase, P less than 0.05). Leucine oxidation decreased slightly (17% mean decrease, P less than 0.01), but whole-body protein synthesis did not change significantly. Muscle morphometry showed no significant increase in muscle fiber diameter. These studies suggest that testosterone increases muscle mass by increasing muscle protein synthesis.

Research to back up my claim.. This shows that test increases protein synthesis rates so double up on the animal food.

Very interesting, good to know. When your off Cycle and looking to maintain what kind of calories/ protein/ carbs are you looking to take in ? Or does it really change from on cycle to off ?

Major difference. If you keep taking in the same amount, you will get fat. This varies from person to person though, so you need to determine your own maintenance calorie levels, and adjust accordingly
