Today it is my B-Day... 40 years old yep! but the story started in 1999 when I was in Bosnia with the forces when 2 bones of my back bones moved! L4 and L5 moved than since that moment they have been moving for all kind of reason.

Since 99 what I do good or wrong, stay active or not, gain weight or lost weight my back has been in control of my body!

5 weeks ago (5'11'' 230lbs) I started to go working in bicycle which help me a lot by loosing weight and get active!

3 weeks ago I started to lift iron and it is crazy! I rediscover new muscles ha! ha! ha! ha! My back is still folowing even when I'm on the stairmaster for 40 minutes. (now still 5'11'' lol but 220 lbs and my belt looks like to get a bit to big).

Next week will be the end of my first training plan, so I'll start another one to get bigger!

When I was 18 years old I was big but for special reason I stopped it! Now it is time to get back there in the lift room! but logicaly...

Is there some one here who would like to give me some advise for my back, the kind of advise that will be good for my back or something else because I don't want my back having control of my life again!

Thank you!

Wear a lifting belt and train abs 3x/week...get regular chiro and physio visits ...and stretch after every weight session...Use good strict form...drink lots of water....take a joint and muscle supplement (Glucosamine, Chondrotin , msm..etc)

Thanks ubcpower! I physio gave me a lot of exercise to do which help me a lot but she said that i should lift iron and as you said get more muscles in the belley area! For the belt i didn't think about it but it is a good idea so i'll try next time!

You might want to rethink the name of this thread... i dont know if english is your second language or whatever but it sounds like youve been forced into the sex trade by two dudes

i doubt anyone here is qualified to give such advice. please see a proper doctor and save yourself time and quite possibly a lot more pain.

Definitely go see a doc and see what type of movement restrictions he may suggest for your routine.
Good luck and keep on lifting

x2

But, also get on a reverse hyper.

Louie Simmons did the exact same thing that you did and started using the reverse hyper 3-4 times a week and fixed his back up in a couple months.

... and weight lifting may or may not be your best choice. One of my former co-workers was suffering from severe back pain. Broke his back a few years ago playing with sea-doos. He lost a significant amount of weight and the back aches entirely went away. He's a very lean 6' 1" 190'ish but he is riding his bike all over the place and no longer lying on the office floor like a cripple.

While I am sure increasing the supporting muscle strength is an excellent idea. Getting Big may not be. You'll need to ask around and find a real sports therapist. There are guys that specialize in rehabbing broken athletes and know what they are doing. Most physio-therapists, doctors have absolutely no idea how to rehabilitate an injury like yours.

reverse hyper I'll see tomorrow if there is one at the gym and I'll speak with the trainner at the gym to figure out what they can suggest me but for sure I'll have an appointment with a doctor again to help me because I do not want to have problem! I'm in the forces so I'll have help soon... within the next 6 months!

Since I started bodybuilding my pain is almost all gone but I'm still affraid of having the pain back. As the physiotherapiste told me not to bend over without weight because it can be bad for me so that's why I do not do dead lift and other exercise that make me bening over with lots of wieght.

Thanks folks for your help!

I'll keep you aware of how it goes and what the doctor, physio and more will say.

I saw a staff at the gym today for a back power and he told me that from the workout he gave me I'll be better!
