Has this happened to anyone else?

It's supposed to have 30 scoops/servings, but mine only had 25 and 1/2.

I contacted Dave @ Species Nutrition, and so far he's been less than helpful. Not a good way to keep customers returning. If this is the kind of product quality and service/help I can expect, I'm better off using another product.

It's a shame, because the fiber supp works really well.. the best I've used.

I've never used the product personally as I use VPX Fiberteq so I can't comment on the servings per container myself.

We both know Palumbo is highly regarded by many athletes for knowledge and guidance which I'm sure in return leads to a ton of daily emails that needs to be answered. How long ago did you send your message?

Have you tried to get an answer over on his home forum (RX Muscle)? Species also has their own sub forum there and other employees of the company are also present on the board who should be able to get an answer for you.

Thanks man, I'm gonna switch to that product.. I'm no longer going to buy anything that's associated with Dave Palumbo.

I did receive replies, and suffice to say he hasn't been nice to communicate with..

No problem at all. I've been happy with the Fiberteq product myself and use it year round. It actually should be cheaper in price then Fiberlyze with the same amount of servings, but is unflavored. I'd recommend mixing with some sort of shake.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been unpleased with the service of Species Nutrition and/or DP.

yeah i dunno what was up with the replies from him.. maybe he's having a bad day.

in any case, i certainly dont appreciate being treated like my issue is unimportant. i thought this is something he'd want to know... guess not.

dude he is not the one hand filling these in a basement factory...perhaps it was just your jug...shit happens with companies like this...hell i once got empty caps when i ordered Kre-Alyklyn....the guy made an effort to try and solve the problem (by asking about the scoop size...etc) and offered to send you free shirts (his way of apologizing)...if you read dave's posts theyre often very short and concise...so the hmmm is very typical dave... you also have ot understand he gets 500 emails/day which he answers ALL himself, does contest prep for 100's of people, runs a website and answers a daily question and answer......

that being said you are paying good money for the product and you have a valid excuse to now try a different company's product.

It started off with me thanking and complimenting his product.

I went on to ask if he would ever consider making another fiberlyze that would be plain, unsweetened/flavoured, since I'd mix it in juice (he replied no people like the flavour - that's fine...).

I then brought up the issue that the container was short a few scoops.

He first asked me if I was using level scoops, I replied yes I was.. then asked if I was supposed to fill to the line on the scoop... he replied "LEVEL SCOOP".

So I said ok, that's what I'm doing so it's underfilled then... his reply:

"hmmmmmmmmm?"

me, "Very professional, thanks man."

his reply, "send me your address and i'll send you some free species tshirts for you"

Maybe he's having a bad day, or maybe he doesn't care about my complaint, or maybe it's intentionally underfilled.
..

I've seen other consumers tell other companies owners that there product had a short count of capsules or that the protective seal was off when they received their order from whoever the purchased it from and instead of sending out shirts to make the consumer happy, they would send out a replacement bottle no questions asked.

yeah man, im perfectly aware of how manufacturing works. in fact, if i thought he was filling them himself, i probably wouldnt say a thing about it. its the fact that he's using a facility to make and package the product, and that it did end up being 4 1/2 scoops short, that i thought he'd want to know so he could look into it to make sure this was a one time thing and other people weren't also getting shortchanged.

i dont know him personally, so his reply hmmmmmmm? isn't something i was expecting, and certainly didnt contribute to the conversation i was trying to have with him. to me, that just seemed like he didn't give a ****.. but again, i dont know the guy so if thats just how he is, fine but how am i supposed to know that?

offering me free tshirts? how about apologizing for the underfilled container and offering to replace it, or at the very least tell me he'll look into it and thank me for letting him know? this is what a professional supplement company would do.

do you really think the offer for tshirts was sincere? that's not how i read it... i wasn't looking for handouts, just an acknowledgement that there was an issue and it was going to be looked into.. that's all.

Dude **** that overpriced stuff. Yeah I`m sure it works, but ground up flax seeds will have you shitting buckets in no time and you can buy that stuff in bulk at the grocery store for like 3$ for 800grams which last a really, really long time. You`ll be praising my name when you will be having the shits of your life. Add it to your shakes, yogourt, morning oatmeal. And just don`t fart c`ause you may shit yourself. No joke.

It's a good product, but I agree it's way overpriced. I already spend so much money on numerous supplements as it is... another $30/month to help me shit isn't worth it.

Besides, the ingredients are right there on the label. I'm just gonna buy the 3 ingredients in bulk and add it to juice, shakes, etc.
