Ephedrine HCL powder and colour

i have a bottle of capsules 40 mg and they are supposed to be ephedrine. They seem to do the job but im a bit fishy about them. Not very potent for being 40mg of ephedrine. They are say 1.2cm long capsules filled completly with a yellow/ beige pwder that has a very bitter shit taste. Does anybody know what ephedrine powder is supposed to look like?

i have never seen yellow/beige ephedrine powder before. its normally white.

ma hung sometimes is yellowish/brown

that is exactly what i thought its like brown almost. I thought for sure it was white but its not. I thought shit for all i know it could be protein powder but i tried tasting a bit and its def something else. its not protein but **** i dont no what to do i have dam near a full bottle and dont want to bite the bullet on 50 bucks. Hurtin for cash
