ridiculously cheap. but ignore the post. it's frozen and the seasoned ones (lots of sodium). if you dont care, then it's still an amazing deal.

That's some cheap chicken. Too bad it's only in Ontario. B/S chicken breast here's usually $14-17 a kg, that's $4.

That price is incredible. Chepest I've ever seen it here in montreal is 2.99/lbs.

I personally find discount chicken breast are cheap for a reason and they don't taste nearly as well as fresh ones. The best chicken breast I ever tasted from the grocery store is Maple leaf grain fed and President's choice which is the only 2 brands I buy. You pay a bit more, but you get what you pay for. I personally do see a big diffirence especially in tenderness and taste.

I agree with you tlf. But when I bulk, it would cost me an arm and a leg eating the maple leaf brand. But that one is always nice and juicy.

Yeah, the maple leaf are on the expensive side, but most of the times I buy president's choice brand. They are not that expensive and taste just as good as maple leaf. Actually President's choice is main main brand for everything. I think most products from PC taste better than name brands at much cheaper prices and they also make some of the world's best cheesecakes :)

I buy the frozen 4 kilo box and I worry about the salt myself.. I just boil them frozen with a few cloves of garlic , I believe boiling it helps remove the salts and fats, plus stays juicey, with alot of garlic flavor...I also remove the breast from the water and put it in a hot pan just to brown it a bit...Taste awsome...

Worst chicken I have ever bought was that frozen shit from Basic's. Threw out 4 bags of it. Never again. I will stick with the sales of fresh/boneless/skinless or costco...

I get the 4 kg box from Extra, pretty watered down but cheap $30. I live in a small town with a meat packer shop so I'll get it from there next or take a drive to the Hutterite colony and see if I can haggle for some cheap birds.

Speaking of the place. They have 5 lb'rs of whey(choc/vanillla) for $31 bones with the coupon they give you at the entrance. Not too shabby...
