I use the "add to rep" thing whenever I see a really good post, because I think that a plus one should add towards a persons status. Almost as much as 100 posts would. I like to give credit where it's due, also a guy knows that the time he's taken to help someone else is actually appreciated.

Some people have alot of posts, while others have had a few quality posts that have made all the difference for someone else.
