Just installed Snow Leopard (10.6) on my MacBook Pro. Works great.

I had to fight through a few of those already. For some reason, installing the new version of quicktime makes my computer forget it had a wireless card.

Do you have a website for this install?
TIA

you don't have to be a tech wizzard, but you do have to know a few thing to make it work. Mac OS wasn't designed to work on most PC hardware, but there are lots of tricks and what not to make it work. Some hardware works better than others. In my case, my ethernet alone took me like 6 hours to get working...

go to isohunt.com

download iatkos v7.iso

burn on a good dvd, at the slowest speed possible.

There's a bunch of guides I can fire your way if you are actually interested.

Its harder to do dual boot (i.e. have windows and mac on the same hard drive), I put it on an old drive a friend gave me.

Lots of fun now that its on, but not for the impatient. It took me about 12 hours of solid work to get this up and running with all the hardware working. If I can keep it running for a week, I'm set with it. I'll never go back to windows.

OS X is frickin great. Welcome to an OS that works properly.. and looks nice.

Setting up a Hackintosh is a bit of a bitch though. I had one for a while... mostly everything worked, but sleep didn't or standby. A couple other minor things I can't remember. Still beat working with XP at the time.

Haven't used Windows 7 yet, but I don't plan to either. I just like OS X so damn much, I have zero desire to work with Windows again.

I think the only reason I might is if I feel like doing a bit of gaming. Then I'll have to use Bootcamp and install 7.

Sleep doesn't work. Found that out the hard way. Took 8 hours to get it working again.
Everything is working great now, except the network card, but it still beats the ass off of xp

Is it onboard nic/wifi? Might be better off checking out what PCI card is supported and installing that instead. That's what I ended up doing. Disabled the onboard network and installed my own. The cards are dirt cheap.

I have a hacked kext that is currently making it half work. Lots of people have trouble with the card I have, so if I have to, I'll go out and get a more popular/easier to make work one.

Its not onboard. The onboard ethernet works just fine, I just don't want to string a 50 foot cable down my hallway.

oh yeah, too much of a pain in the ass if you ask me. wifi cards are so cheap.. buy one online if you have to.

I am all over that. Once I get the new card, no more windows ever
