Train at Extreme Fitness, downtown Toronto..

about $80/month...

and its a shitty gym... tonnes of cardio equip, but no hammer strength, only ONE squat rack... and they have so many members that get personal training that to find any warm up weights (ie. dumbells 20-35) is borderline impossible.

my FAVOURITE gym was in my old hometown... was built for "non profit" by guys YEARS ago just for a place to workout... its like $150 for the entire year.. to this day my favourite gym.. old stuff, but everything could need.

Nothing really, company pays for it. but the bill is $42 a month at the Athletic Club, they have everything there. including pool, hot tub, raquet ball courts, ladies only, fitness classes, a 100 bikes, treadmills, step climbers, 4 bench's, 4 squat racks, tons of Atlantis & Hammer strength, wall to wall dumbells and free weights, yet it still sucks cause it's more of a social club than a hardcore gym. No chalk, no tanks tops, shit music on the time, tons of kids after school, and even more people leaning against machine talking about how great a shape they used to be in.

Free membership with work. And my gym is great with only a few flaws similar to Ongeau's gym. Can't beat a free lifetime membership though.

I have two gym memeberships:

Ottawa Athletic Club: 600.00 been there for 5 years
And one in Aylmer: $400.00 per year been there for 1 year

The reason I have two places is because I used to live in Aylmer, and I still spend a lot of my time in the area--so when I am there, I just plan a workout at the second gym.
But once it expires I will stay at the O.A.C.

For a lot of you guys who get extended health and medical at your works your company (especially if its unionized) may offer some kind of health incentive programs or rebates. I know my old work would rebate $200/year for employees if they could show proof of active living (gym membership bill, sports team costs, new bike...etc). They often wont advertise it or make it known but it is quite common, you might want to do a little investigating.

I worked under a union once...and yes there is a lot of good and bad associated with the environment.
But would this kind of info not be stipulated in the little booklet you get?

Those ****ers owe me 600 bucks!!! if that's the case.

Its outside of the booklet you get for your extended medical (however, in the medical you can generally get up to $400 for foot orthotics and $ towards massages, chiro and physio).....The health and wellness program im talking about was a mere 1 page posting on the board at my old work detailing the program...its a joke and will often be left out of all the union brochures and monthly newletters...you have to dig for it and ask

I pay $14.70 bi-weekly. We have a swimming pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna's so we also have a $60/yr maintenance fee which Im cool with as it also goes to keeping the equipment working and the gym clean. Now if I could only change the place around to my liking....
