Question for mods [Archive] - CANADA BODYBUILDING

This is an attack on the mods whatsoever. When a question is posted by a member about finding a source, why do you not delete the thread immediately? The thread gets left up, and there post gets edited but everyone still knows what they were asking for in there original post. Funky business goes on afterward and you guys know it as well as I do through PM's. If anyone wants to have a freak out regarding my post go ahead, I'm just asking a perfectly legit question. You guys know I wouldn't do anything to my love CBB :cflag, but do you guys not have the ability to delete threads or what?

Report the post. Exclamation thing on the post. I don't think the mods can see everything. The site is moving fast.

Bro I can appreciate where you are coming from, and although i am not a mod here, I would love to give you MY personal take and experience on this subject.

IT is NOT as black and white as you may think it is, in fact it can be complex because there are many variables to take into consideration.

A mod may not always be around the site to monitor traffic. In fact MODS should not really be around to babysit others---which is often the case on this site, but that is another birthday cake celebration on its own.

This site is mainly channeled towards the bodybuilding and healthy living aspect of things. I believe MP wants this site to be mainstream bodybuilding, and allow pros or semi pros to come on and post with us.

WE all know that those who work the scene lurk around, this cannot and will never change.
Open sourcing sites, which do exist mainly privately, those allow the open sales lists of sources.

There has been several attempts from unknown members who log on, post a few threads, then fish for sources, those ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT.
Can you stop crime? Even with the Police force at your hands?
Can you stop people from driving over the limit on our streets?

I DO KNOW that at least 3 KNOWN members have been banned here in the past, because they attempted to break or broke our rules.
This speaks highly of the mods and the site integrity in itself. NOT all illegal activity can be stopped....but putting out fires one at the time, the site moves on forward the best that it can.

I will say however that there is a very slow and VERY lenient approach towards those who continuasly break our rules. BANNING should take effect after a swift and strong warning.
Gustavo had a very good method of moderating. I have known him for many many years, and know him well. I liked his moderating choice of words.
I believe a MORE swift and more direct approach needs to be taken on the site, in order to set the tone, and build a stronger backbone to and for what the site stands for.

You have posted a good thread, and one that seeks clarification:)

Hope that my personal view helps in some ways.

When someone finds questionable posts or threads, hit the report post button in the thread and all of the mods and myself will get an email letting us know.

I don't read as much in the AAS section as I'm pushing hard in the competitors stuff and recruiting people. The report post thing will get me to see it for sure.

As always, a judgment call will be made by the mod(s) or by me as to whether it should be locked, edited, or deleted. Not every thread is worth a deletion. Some can just be edited and the thread will continue in a healthy way.

That said, I removed the other one.
