Single ply - Titan Centurian squat suit, I use this for deadlifts too.
Titan Katana bench shirt -
Titan super Katana bench shirt- a little loose, not really getting the crazy pounds out of it you're supposed to.
Double Ply-
Metal Ace squatter - I actually found this in my closet the other day, my friend thought he lost is and bought a new one... I picked it up for 250
Titan Boss squat suit - Used a couple times, don't like it quite as much as a metal
Inzer rage X bench shirt - too loose and not getting much
I've also got a pair of Metal Viking briefs
My best advice for everyone is to join the CPU forum and go to the For Sale section, You can find powerlifting gear pretty cheap on there. If you're trying to go double ply, fortifiediron.com has a really great for sale section... it's all american though.
Definitely your first suit should be used and a little loose. Then go from there.
metal pro squatter ftw. 1st time squatting in over a month since my lower back injury and 1st time in the suit tonight and i went straps down.....its hard to get my belt in the right place because i usually go by feel and i couldnt really feel shit with the suit on......went through my warmup progressions to 315 and then put the suit on and dropped back down to 225.....it was a high box but only about an inch above parallel for me.....225 was awkward and i had to really push my ass back to get down.....315 was like a feather.....hit it for 10 quick reps....was like a warmup but i started feeling some pressure in my lower back and so i stopped there and went on to kb swings to finish up.....i am excited about this suit.....i am seeing some big #'s once i get more confidence with my lower back.....

what advantages do these powerlifting clothes pose?
do they help keep form in specific lifts?
what advantages do these powerlifting clothes pose?
do they help keep form in specific lifts? they give you a great deal of xtra support that helps you move more weight. form must be strict as most suits/shirts are very unforgiving.....

This is true.
Also the support helps your joints (hips especially) not slowly tear apart during a standard "Westside" style plan with 2 "squat" days/week.

No gear yet. I have been very close to getting a Metal King
Pro Deadlifter and a pair of metal pro briefs but I have always purchased the other "gear" instead.

Man I'm old school. I'm still using a Z-suit and a blast shirt. It may be time to upgrade to Titan.
whatever works for ya! but you'll get a lot more carry-over with some new equip!! do you lift in a single or double ply fed?

is there an all purpose suit that you can use for squats and deads? right now I have just been using rehband compression shorts and knee sleeves, the shorts keep my hips nice and warm but provide little support for heavy lifts. I want to get the best bang for my buck, if I could get away with one all purpose suit for now I would invest the money down the road and get a suit for squat and deadlift.

hard to say but it's been done. some lifters can use their squat suits as deadlift suits. but the same suit/combo might not work for the next person cus of different mechanics, levers, builds, lifting style etc... I've seen the Inzer Leviathan used a lot for this, mostly for sumo deadlifters.
Me, I havent had luck using a squat suit for a deadlift suit.

my training partner uses his Max DL suit for squats too, that works for him but I was just curious what others thought on the subject

I think that I am gonna give the Inzer 2 ply Hardcore squat suit a try. from what I have read it seems like it would be the best bang for my buck.
i use my metal pro squatter for deads and squats....its for wide stance and sumo deads tho.....a lot of suits can be used for both tho......

I found a metal squater suit for shoulder width or close stands on elitefts but I am going to go with the Inzer one to start out with until I find the best squat and deadlift stance for me.

I used my squat suit for deads in competition. Can't even remember what kind of suit it was either...
