My dog was in my car today for 10 mins, it was about 18 deg outside and air conditioning had just been on. When returning to vehicle, 2 security guards were discovered poking their fingers through the windows of my car.

Apparently someone called the RCMP claiming animal cruelty was taking place. It was around 15 degs in the car. The security guards tried to hold my car their til the police came, yeah right. They claimed it is illegal to leave an animal inside a parked car, regardless of temperature outside. Lets just say they were lucky I didnt have my 12ga.

People are retarded. End.

Its is against the law to leave an animal in a car a locked car..

Almost the same charge as leaving a child unattended and the 12 g well that would ruin your life for ever

There has been alot of media coverage given to babies and children left in cars here at the casino. The latest one..after her baby was seized by the CAS in her locked car in early Aug, she asked if she could go back inside to cash in her chips. They had banned her at that point.. her gambling and winnings were more important even after they took her baby from her in the parking garage.

I get pissy if someone takes the keys to the car and leaves me in their car at a gas pumps for 4 min (with all windows closed tight) while they pay for the gas inside that they just purchased..imagine.

I'm not judging...just try to put yourself in the dogs, babies or my place in a closed car.

When we do bring the dog out with us for the day, he loves it. We usually leave him home alone all day.

If hes in the car, its not for long and the windows are down, if its sunny we just dont do it. It was cool today in Vancouver, so i cant imagine he was uncomfortable. I wouldnt compare it to a child either.

Heres something I googled. I should note, this happened at around 6pm and it wasnt even warm out.

Heres what gets me... some homeless dude could be sitting infront of the same Walmart, starving and cold. And people are more likely to care about YOUR dog, than that person.

My dog is cute as hell and I swear people just want to screw you over. To see an animal looking slightly unhappy turns peoples guts inside out or something. My dog goes apeshit every time i leave him in the car, if he isnt at my side, hes not happy.

Very interesting point that most people care more for random animals than they do other human beings!
