Whats up guys, this acne is getting to be too much. Im currently tanning, taking an anti-e, apple cider vinigar, keeping the sheets clean, using special acne body washes and its not getting better and everything else ive been reading about online to try and help. Im thinking about trying accutane, have you guys used it before? I can get it from my source but its beyond expensive. what do you guys think? what dose and how long did you guys run it for and did you find it was worth it? thanks for the help!

You can get a script from a doc, its easy just get the lowest dose, prescription comes to like 2$ a pill and cheaper if u have insurance

Used it when I was younger, from the doctor. Made my face ridiculously dry, but it worked.

I got a script for it once. Started at 40 mgs a day and was suppose to increase to 80 mgs. The stuff cleared me completely within a week, but the sides were too much to handle at 40 mgs (liver irritation, malaise) so I had to go off. A lower dose would probably be quite effective. Gladly I don't have serious acne sides at my age anymore.

U should never use UG Accutane. It is super easy to get HG from your doctor. My extended medical insurance paid for mine completely.

Yeah i suppose I could just go to the Doc. Just figired this would be easier, I dont have a drug plan right now so I figured that the price wouldnt have been that much less going to him.

overboost. NO one asked if you have taken any orals in the last year. Are you drinking booze? Are you taking shit that makes your liver suffer? What about sups like otcs but harder on your liver then the real deal?

Blood work is a must while on Accutane. My oldest daughter took it for one cycle and we saw alot of difference. She started a second one, her blood work came back and the DR ordered her to stop asap. She did not drink back then and had no history of taking other sups that would tax her liver.

DO GO TO A DR FOR IT..follow up on blood work and be honest with the Dr about your history. Better a few zits alive then a clear face not.

All really good advice! And I have taken orals within the last year but not currently on any, I dont drink at all. and the only other supps im taking are protien, multi vit and CLA so those are not harsh for the liver. I was just going to run a low dose of it to test the waters and see if that will clear up the acne. Unless I find some way to get my hands on it for a resonable price * wink wink * it looks like I may end up having to go to the doctor anyway.

You can get it online for about $100/80 doses but if you've got a drug plan definitely go that route, it gets pretty expensive once you get up the the higher recommended doses. I'm going to my doc to grab some tomorrow.

Doctor all the way. I ran it after trying everything and it works.

Bloodwork, no drinking, and no orals. :)

why not try something topical? adapalene/differin destroys all acne for me with zero side effects...but yeah, see the doc for this one

Picked up my Accutane today. 60mg/day to start.

Bye bye alcohol.
