Cheap flights to Las Vegas

My buddy said theres flights outta New York for 49 bucks one way. I have yet to find these so called flights... Wondering if anyone knew of anything like that?

Southwest has some cheap flights out of Buffalo to Vegas...They might have some from NY too.

Flight scheduled out of Buffalo to LAS
seem to come and go and they are
usually 1 or 2 stops on the way.
(stop at JFK, Atlanta, etc)

I fly from Detroit Metro to Vegas
regularly on Spirit (sometimes NWA or SW)
for <$225 roundtrip direct.
(midweek, tues or wed is usually the sale seats)
Just booked a flight for $69? each way,
I think it was $162 non-stop, rountrip, all taxes incl.

Sign up for Spirit, SW, and NWA email lists.
They;ll send you the sales when they go online.
I've seen them last as little as 4 hours before
the prices go back up again.

Hotels in vegas are dirt cheap now too.
Mine are comped but you can stay
downtown $20-60/nt and on the strip
for $25-89/nt depending on hotel quality.

I got labour day weekend, return flight and 3 nights at the MGM for 550$, and i just went on expedia.
