so ya my stomach/abs hurt almost all the time at the gym I pretty much have to wear a belt for almost every exercise, I never had this problem before.

just wondering your experience on this ?

I'm guessing I have to work out my abs a lot more ?

does it hurt near the surface, or deeper on the inside?

on the right side, does it hurt right under the inner-bottom-edge of the ribs ? and on the left side, hurts a little more to the outer-middle of the ribs?

do you get discomfort when you're driving in your car? or just when you excercise

i think wearing a belt is counter productive for this type of issue though no?

i could be wrong...

ya it hurts near the surface and more like the middle abdominal area. only hurts when i'm lifting weights.

ya I would think so, I try not to wear one but the pain starts to really bother me, thats when I put on the belt.

Hernia possibly? I don't know.
I'd go see the doctor. When I do leg press I can a sharp pain like there's a pin in my shirt for some reason.

im thinkin hernia as well.. id get a doc to check you out to make sure.. if you have a hernia and keep lifting it can make it a lot worse.

I always thought if I had a hernia I would be able to see it ? I can touch my stomach right now without any pain.

If it's a hernia, you could have the tear and not the bump yet. Which is good if you can catch it now. I wouldn't even go to the gym until you get it checked. You could cut down lost time by getting now.

I had an ingual one, which i swear to god is way worse! (they called me E.T, the extra testical.)

or you could have strained your abs....i was having similar pains a few months back and went to the doc because i thought my liver and other internal organs were damaged or something and he felt around and says to me that my abs are overly developed(covered in a nice layer of fat however) and that i probably strained 'em lifting and to rest for a bit and then hit it hard again.....but i agree that you should see a MD......hernia would be a bitch.....
