View Full Version : Night nutrition for pre/post football practices.

I practice football a couple nights a week, 8:00pm.
Usually cut my carbs last two meals of the day.
Practice is real light and layed back (old man league), but has some cardio activity and a few sprints here and there.
I don't care 'energy' wise, just preserving muscle.

Should I be having any pre or post practice carbs? Or do you think just a whey shake post workout is enough? THen my last meal of the day later?

Personally, I'd at least add some carbs in about 1 hour before, depending on your last meal of the day, I'd add some carbs to the PWO shake.

Unless its real real low intensity, then you are probably fine.

im the same way bro no carbs after 9pm...

i'm paranoid about catabolism so personally i always have high GI carbs after cardio (read: sex)

i think it is logical logical to offset it by taking a mild fat burner during the day... maybe some green tea extract, CLA, or 8-16mg of ephies

I'd just eat as normal bro, maybe drink a G2 with some whey after your practice.
